Description

Raven Housing Trust is a community Housing Association providing affordable homes for around 6,500 households in one of the most expensive parts of the country to live. As well as providing good quality, affordable, and sustainable homes, we provide support services for those that need them including financial advice, employment and training. We’re building new homes by regenerating our existing land and estates and purchasing additional sites. But it’s not what we do; it’s how we do it that sets us apart from other organisations and helps us create a great customer experience, because we care. At Raven, our mission is to build homes and change lives, creating lasting change and enhancing the lives of those we serve.

We’re looking for three new Co optees, one for our Group Audit, Risk & Assurance Committee (ARAC) and two for our Group Investment Committee (GIC), to bring additional technical skills, expertise and provide stewardship to Raven.  We have created a potential development pathway from Co optee through to Board Member after 1-2 years, a path trodden by both the Chair of ARAC and the Chair of our People & Culture Committee.  Therefore presenting an excellent career enhancing opportunity, whether you already have non executive experience or not.  We want to see your potential.

For ARAC, we’re seeking senior finance expertise and are particularly interested in treasury experience and fresh perspectives, probably from outside of the social housing sector.  We need an individual who thinks strategically and who will look across the business with a critical eye.

For GIC, sector experience would be helpful, and ideally, a track record of leadership across strategic asset management and/or complex housing regeneration. This committee is responsible for conducting financial analysis on significant investment decisions, so you’ll need to be highly commercial and financially astute.

You’ll be able to scrutinise, challenge and strategically advise.  As well as professional knowledge and expertise, you will have an appreciation of the housing demands in our area and a desire to make a difference to people’s lives.

We are proud of the diversity of our Board and welcome applications from all backgrounds.  As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we run a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled applicants.
